When can we not help you?

The Defensor del Pueblo cannot take action if a public administration has not been involved.

In case of conflicts between individuals or with private companies which are not government agencies.

If the facts alleged in the complaint were first discovered more than one year ago.

In the case of anonymous complaints, if the particular grounds of complaint are not specified, if bad faith is noted or the complaint might prejudice the legitimate rights of others.

In the case of disagreement with the content of a court decision or if the case is pending before the courts.
