The Ombudsman, Ángel Gabilondo, attended this Tuesday, at the headquarters of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ), the presentation of the 17th Award of the Observatory Against Domestic and Gender Violence 2022.
In this edition, the work carried out by the Association of Women Judges of Spain (AMJE), by the Provincial Commissions for Coordination against Violence against Women, and by the prosecutor Gracia Rodríguez, who received the special mention ‘Soledad Cazorla, prosecutor’, was recognised.
In addition, and on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the Observatory against Domestic and Gender Violence, the president of this institution and member of the General Council of the Judiciary, Ángeles Carmona, presented a special recognition to the vice-president of the European Commission Věra Jourová.
The award ceremony was opened by the president of the observatory and closed by the president of the General Council of the Judiciary, p.s., Rafael Mozo. It was attended, among other authorities, by the President of the Council of State, Magdalena Valerio; the State Attorney General, Álvaro García Ortiz, and the Government Delegate against Gender Violence, Victoria Rosell. The Ministry of Justice was also represented.
