I wish to express our deep regret for the attack in Manchester, which has caused great pain, with the request that it be transmitted to the families of the victims and to the British Government.

The hate that leads to revenge and death can never find any justification. Acts such as yesterday’s deserve all the repulsion and condemnation of the European society, and the desire that the full weight of the law falls on those responsible.

Ambassador Manley, please count with our collaboration and support, as an institution of the Ombudsman, so that any action that violates the first of fundamental rights -the right to life- may disappear from our society.
