RIGHTS OF ACCESS TO INFORMATION
In accordance with article 12 et seq. of Law 19/2013, of 9 December, on transparency, access to public information and good governance, all persons have the right to access the Ombudsman’s information of a public nature.
The information of the Ombudsman that is public and subject to the right of access is the content or documents, in any format or medium, in the Ombudsman’s possession that have been drawn up or acquired in the exercise of his functions in relation to his activities subject to administrative law [arts. 13 and 2.1 f) of Law 19/2013].
Activities subject to administrative law are understood to be those acts and provisions relating to personnel, administration and asset management [art.1.3 a) of Law 29/1998, regulating Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction].

In order for us to process your application you must state:
• Applicant’s identity verifiable through ID card or passport number.
• Information requested.
• Contact address, preferably electronic to facilitate communication.
We would like to remind you that much of the accessible public information is published on the institutional website. For this reason, we recommend that you visit it and make sure that the information you are requesting is not available there.
The general deadline for replying to a request for information is one month from receipt of the request. This period may be extended for a further month if the volume or complexity of the information requested makes it necessary.
The decision on the request for access may be limited to telling the applicant how to access it, if the information has already been published on the website.
